Democrat David Gill concedes 3 days after 13th Congressional District election



Democrat David Gill conceded the 13th Congressional District race to Republican Rodney Davis on Friday. Although Davis was declared the winner on Tuesday, Gill had said the race was too close for him to concede.

President Barack Obama re-elected; Congress remains divided


President Barack Obama won re-election Tuesday night despite a fierce challenge from Republican Mitt Romney, prevailing in the face of a weak economy and high unemployment that encumbered his first term and crimped the middle class dreams of millions.
